The Mike James Band creates a big band sound like no other. Full of talented musicians, Mike James never fails to deliver show-stopping performances. With a powerful brass section, air-tight rhythm section and sensational soloists and vocalists, this is a show you do not want to miss!
Inspired bywatching legendary musicians such as Count Bessie, Mike James’s career has allowed him to follow his dreams, and before long rose to the position of musical director on the famous cruise ship, the QE2, where he performed regularly alongside big names such as Bob Hope, Petula Clarke, Vera Lynn, Bill Cosby, Bob Monkhouse, Jimmy Tarbuck and Vic Damone.
From here on, the bands success continued to open up new horizons. They have performed for international royalty, toured the world on several cruise ships, and international shows and events including Kuwait, Bahriain and all across the Middle East. They have also appeared in two Hollywood feature films and soundtracks.
They now hold a resident spot at the famous dance venue, ‘The Blackpool Tower Ballroom’, adding to another of Mike’s boyhood dreams.
So get ready to be wowed and amazed as they take to the stage of our very own dance venue, The Regency Ballroom where you will enjoy a night of dancing like none you have experienced before!!
