Learning to dance may seem scary at first, but it can also be extremely rewarding and build confidence. It’s actually pretty common for people to experience anxiety when attending an unfamiliar place or starting a new activity. Dancing is about expressing ourselves by moving our body to music and performance can make or break a good routine. We want to be entertaining and enjoy what we are doing. But how can we acheive this?

When we are dancing ballroom, we want to make sure that we are dancing around the room and moving in the same direction as our partner. In order to do this, we use a standard alignment (direction). We refer to alignment in reference to the direction of our feet in relation to the room.
